President William Ruto has urged for an intensified collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Africa in advancing clean energy development and sustainable exploitation.
Recognising the potential within the combined hydrocarbon and green energy resources of both regions, President Ruto believes they hold significant promise to meet the current and future global energy demands.
Speaking in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the President emphasised that by working together, Africa and Saudi Arabia could contribute effective solutions to the global climate crisis.
He expressed Africa’s eagerness to establish a robust trade and investment partnership with Arab nations, aiming to enhance regional and global stability.
President Ruto encouraged Arab nations to explore investment opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement, positioning Kenya as their gateway to this burgeoning market.
Highlighting the importance of education, training, and human capital development for sustained productivity and competitiveness, the President stressed the need for collaborative efforts in these areas between Africa and Saudi Arabia.

ng the creation of a substantial belt of peace, security, stability, and prosperity across the Middle East and Africa.
The event was attended by key figures, including Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Comoros President and Chairperson of the African Union Azali Assoumani, Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and Chairperson of the African Union Commission Moussa Faki.
