Kenya Airways has unveiled a special introductory price of $199 as it prepares to resume flights to Mogadishu on February 15.
Kenya’s national carrier will offer Economy Class tickets at $199 and Business at $300 for the inaugural flights on this route.
Passengers looking to take advantage of this offer can enjoy a 50 percent discount on the launch flight scheduled for February 15, 2024.
“Get a 50 percent discount on the launch flight to Mogadishu on 15th February 2024, with launch fares starting from USD 199 in Economy Class and USD 305 in Business Class,” said the carrier.
Operating from its main hub at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya Airways is set to conduct three weekly flights to Mogadishu.
This resumption comes after a temporary suspension in August 2020 due to precautionary measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision to recommence flights aligns with the increasing business activities and a growing number of air travel engagements between Kenya and Somalia.
This move to reconnect with Mogadishu plays an important role in Kenya Airways’ broader network expansion strategy and commitment.
As the airline aims to enhance connectivity across the African continent, it sees a significant contribution to long-term economic progress and regional development.
Kenya Airways’ revival of the Mogadishu route signifies more than just a return to routine air travel—it serves as a significant catalyst for fostering economic ties and facilitating seamless movement within the African airspace.
